situated just by a waterfall in Estonia are couple of bridges completely covered in all sorts of padlocks. each padlock has two names and a date written on it.

the tradition originated in  Russia and idea is for newly weds to engrave their names and anniversary on a padlock, lock it on the bridge and throw the key into the river. this act symbolises the pair's eternally unbreakable bond.
